Alice sat in the window, waiting for her roomates to arrive. Before she knew it, she found herself daydreaming about fish, cheesecake and raccoons. She was weird, according to the humans. She had never understood why.

Connie edged open the door with her free elbow. In her arms she had four different science tomes, three library books and two small cases that held her clothes. Going home for the spring holidays had been a treat for her - she usually never left till Christmas. Coming back was better. She'd already seen the state the first years had left the main common room in. It was nice to be back.

Stepping into the room, she nodded at Alice. She'd seen her in the cafe while she worked in the back. She seemed nice. Her miniature lab set up on her desk by her bed from last term seemed even nicer. God, she'd missed it.

Connie placed her stuff neatly on her bed and desk, arranging it in an order and folding it in the drawers. Then she took a library book from her pile, and sat on her bed to read.

Rayne stormed in. "This won't do.." She said to a woman trailing behind her, carrying bags that looked very heavy. "Daddy said I wouldn't have to share...." She looked at her two room mates. She hadn't been expecting to be near people, she had thought maybe she wouldn't need to socialize below her class, yet here she was sharing with these two.

Connie heard Rayne come in. As people went, she didn't mind Rayne, but then again she didn't MIND anyone. She didn't talk to other people much. She did now.

"You're bed's the one on the left. You've got the desk with four drawers instead of three. Thought you'd appreciate that." Then she stuck her nose firmly back in her book.
