Anna smiled reasuringly.

"Don't worry, mate. I've 'eard some pretty bad life stories from my neck o' the woods. Go ahead. I think I can safely say I've got th' time."

Midona smiled weakly, "Well, none of us have anywhere else to go, I s'pose. Well, we all do, but none of us can get out of here. Well, if you must know, my real dad -well, not really, but that's not the point- was a complete jerkass, y'know, who like hit me an' stuff...So's I run away, and I was a street kid for ages, then this girl -Kyra- was super nice and she brought me up as she would her own daughter...she was Iblis' real mom, that's why I call him my brother, even though he isn't...well, anyways, she killed herself, and it was just as my life was finally starting to get better...I even went to highschool, like a normal teenager; I'm pretty bright, even though I obviously had a lot of catching up to do, but then...yeah. I mean, I shouldn't have got so used to it..people like me aren't supposed to have lives like that...The other kids at my school call me a 'freak', hah, if only they knew quite how right they are. And anyways, now I'm being blackmailed by this dude...I slept with him once; I know, stupid, right? And Elissa's trying to destroy the world 'cause of me...and we're all stuck in here...and..."

Midona hicupped again, and feel to the floor abruptly.

"Sorry...I-I never have been good with alchohol...Saki says it's because I'm so small..."

"Ah, don't fret, mate. Me dad were a drunk. Me mam were a gal like me. Me dad killed her in a drunk 'aze one night. So I ran away. To the Alley. Tha's kinda like the biggest back alley of London, like. And I became... well, me... and I started... my job..." She grinned uneasily.

"Yeah..." Midona smiled, wincing and closing her eyes as the world started to swirl around her.

"Umm...Anna...Is-is she okay?" Iblis asked timidly; he had never really heardMidona talk about her life before, or the fact that she was being blackmailed, and he knew perfectly well why. He hated being treated like a child.

Anna glanced at Midona, and grinned lightly.

"Yeah, she'll be fine. This stuff's pretty strong, but it'll wear off pretty quick, and best part is there's no 'eadache. Jus' a good feelin'."
