I dunno why they've decided I'm their daughter, though, I mean I'm fifteen; I can take care of myself. Probably much better than they can, actually." the demom laughed somewhat bitterly, "But the point is, we're stuck here. Like it or not, there are no types of people anymore, not here. There's just us. You would do well to remember that."

She unwrapped another chocolate bar, and took a bite.

Sammy glared at Midona. "It's hard when you've had something drummed into your head from a young age..." She murmured.

"Oh my. I pity you." Midona sighed, "At least you had someone to drum things into your head. You have a family, right? People to call mommy and Daddy?" her violet eyes stared into Sammy's blue ones, as if she was looking into the older girl's soul, "I didn't. My biological father only saw me as a way to get what he wanted -a...a slave, almost- not a person. And the woman who was like a mother to me is dead. Don't talk to me about family problems, kid, 'cause you have no f*cking idea.."

"I was talking about my parents i was talking about my best friends parents..." Sammy shook her head, smiling slightly.

"So? You still had someone, did you not?" Midona muttered, unable to keep the resentment out of her voice, "Until about a year ago, I had never had a friend. And I live in the biggest cuty in the world! Except maybe tokyo..." she sighed.

"Well, I do now. Erebus is a tough place to grow up. Demons are by nature not particularly merciful.." the sucubus visibly winced at the memories.
